School of Imagination in Kampus Hybernská

Kampus Hybernská is a partner of the School of Imagination project and from 2022 onwards provides the realisation for our workshops. What happened here?

Together, in a series of interconnected workshops, we focus on developing competences aimed at pushing the limits of imagination through experiential methods based on different types of artistic practice. The workshops use a variety of performative formats:

• formats focused on working with the body and movement and on unlearning experienced movement patterns, promoting normativity.
• formats exploring the possibilities of non-verbal communication that allow us to better connect with each other beyond limiting identities
• formats using the concept of “Deep listening”, based on listening with the whole body
• formats testing our ability to see and observe (below the surface, beyond normative perspectives)
• formats that develop the capacity for empathy and resonance with each other
• formats experimenting with collective creation, strengthening the principles of collaboration

After more than six months of two working groups meeting, we have started to focus on consulting the participants’ own work and there is already a space for participants to create. It used it to test its own activities inspired by participation in the School of Imagination.

The School of Imagination is implemented in a series of successive workshops during the school year 2022/2023. The School of Imagination is open to two closed working groups of female participants* selected on an open call basis. The capacity for the School of Imagination circles is already full. In the new follow-up year 2023/2024, we would like to prepare*a new series of workshops – follow us for updates about the project.

The project School of Dissolving – Expanding – Connecting Imagination (School of Imagination) is implemented with the financial participation of the EU through the National Recovery Plan and the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
