The School of Dissolving – Expanding – Connecting Imagination (School of Imagination in short) has opened this autumn. The School of Dissolving – Expanding – Connecting Imagination (School of Imagination in short) has opened this autumn.

The School of Imagination functions as a recovery room for the senses stifled by the settings of contemporary education. Together we seek ways to work through difficult topics using critical thinking, activating the senses and developing imagination. We see imagination not as an escape from reality, but as a way to face it.

We see the role of creativity, imagination and critical thinking as essential to building our resilience as we navigate through the challenges of the moment. At this time, it is crucial to direct our imagination towards forms of existence that are in harmony with the needs of humanity, as well as the planet and the non-human world.

So far, the first two meetings have taken place. The first workshop was devoted to experiments in awakening the senses and deepening critical perspective. The second workshop focused on exploring shifts and transformations of self-image, related to self-portrait, portrait and self-reflection work.

The School of Imagination is implemented during the school year 2022/2023 in a series of consecutive workshops and is open to two closed working groups of participants selected via open call. The capacity for the School of Imagination is already full. In the new follow-up year 2023/2024 we would like to develop a new series of workshops — follow us for updates on the project.
