School of Imagination: In the bowels of the institution or the anatomy of artistic operation.

The School of Imagination was hosted by the Veletžní Palace of the National Gallery in Prague 7.

In the course of the series of workshops of the School of Imagination project, we are gradually expanding the range of partner organisations. With the January and February workshops, the School of Imagination has entered the bowels of the National Ggalrie institution in Prague, specifically the Veletžní Palace in Prague 7, in order to conduct workshops in a wide range of stimulating spaces on the topic of artistic operations.

• the symbolism of the “observer”
• simulation of the institution’s organism
• Who are art/cultural institutions for and who are they closed to: Possibilities of inclusivity and care
• “disability art”, crip culture
• the manifesto of a feminist institution
• children’s groups, seniors
• animals

The School of Imagination is realized in a series of interconnected workshops during the school year 2022/2023. The School of Imagination is open to two closed working groups of participants* selected on the basis of an open call. The capacity for the School of Imagination circles is already full. In the new follow-up year 2023/2024, we would like to prepare*a new series of workshops – follow us for updates about the project.

The project School of Dissolving – Expanding – Connecting Imagination (School of Imagination) is implemented with the financial participation of the EU through the National Recovery Plan and the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
