A Collection of Stimulants of Imagination
A collection of objects and works of art for mental and physical stimulation.
Gallery of the City of Prague in the Municipal Library in Prague
Try to imagine situations and areas where you run up against obstacles and limits of the imagination that you (or those around you) are incapable of overcoming. Who is afraid of your imagination, who is afraid to imagine, and why?
This collection of objects, props, texts (instructions, recipes, scripts), drawings, models, and costumes was created in response to an open call for instructions for how to physically and mentally stimulate the imagination. The collection, which was by no means limited to the visual arts, was presented as part of the international exhibition Come Closer: Biennale Matter of Art 2020, which ran July 22–November 15, 2020, at the Prague City Gallery in the Municipal Library of Prague.
